В ходе общих обсуждений и поисков выяснгили, что в игре можно настраивать интерфейс расположения кнопок под себя. На контроллере есть 2 датчика, которые касаются экрана. И весь смысл заключается в том, чтобы расположить нужные элементы управления под них.

Как сейчас, так это кажется очень очевидным и логичным. Но меня сбила вот эта картинка на сайте производителя.

Обратите внимание, что на ней мы видим, что все элементы управления расположены по стандартной раскладке. Ну это ладно

Очень напрягает выверка позиции для элементов управления. Поставил, сохранил – тестируешь. Не работает. Поставил, сохранил – тестируешь. Одна кнопка нормально, вторая не видит элемента. Я 30 минут подгонял расположения элементов под сенсоры, сенсоры под элементы управления. Тестировал, сохранял и снова тестировал. Вот тебе и «Plug and Play».

After much discussion and a long search for solutions, we have found out that in the game, we can customize the interface of the button layout depending on our needs and preferences. The controller comes with two sensors that come in contact with the screen. And the whole point is to place all the necessary controls under the sensors.

Now, it seems quite obvious and logical. But initially, I was thrown off by this picture from the manufacturer’s website.

Note that the picture shows all the controls being positioned in a standard way.

All right. The punchline is coming. My iPhone 10 (not a small thing in terms of the screen size) allows for positioning the GameSir F4 Falcon from edge to edge, plus slight offsets. So I have a small margin to drag and, more importantly, position the controls more accurately.

What annoys me is the controls’ alignment. You place it, save, and test it. It does not work. You place it again, save and test it. One button functions correctly while the other one does not recognize the item. It took me 30 minutes to adjust the elements’ position to the sensors, and visa versa. I tested, saved and tested again. So much for “Plug and Play”.

Бой закончен, возвращаемся к девайсу. Какие могут быть проблемы, думаю я? Ну ок. Он не заряжен – ставлю на зарядку. Спустя 15 минут снова захожу в бой, правда уже тестовый, но результата нет.

Хорошо. Раз так, то пришло время прочитать инструкцию. И здесь беда. Она вся в иероглифах. Пойди там чего разбери. Открываю интернет – сведения скудные. Пара роликов и картинок, на которых все описано в стиле «Plug and Play». Но отступать я не привык. Пробую найти девайс через блютус. Но его нет. Да и в описании написано, что не должно (но мало ли?).

Меняем тактику и пробуем зайти через настройки в игре. Заходим туда, видим пункт котроллера. О! Может это…но нет. Там опять блютус. Как быть то? Запрашиваю просьбу друзей.

Подключение и первый старт

Естественно, когда я сообщил своим «боевым» товарищам о том, что ко мне скоро приедет такая чудо штука, то заветного часа Х стали ждать все. И вот он настал.

Убрав инструкцию и зарядку обратно в коробку, я установил контроллер на телефон. Это сделать довольно просто. Тут все, как и обещали.

Запускаю игру, вхожу в боевой режим, зову товарищей, бой загружается…Появляюсь я в компании своих друзей и… Ничего. Хаотичное нажимание клавиш, перебор последовательности, снятие и повторное надевание контроллера не дают желаемых результатов.

Какого черта думаю я! Бой идет, а я стою и ничего. Ну ладно, бой ведь важнее. Контроллер в сторону, играю по старинке.

One Step Backward

The battle is over and we come back to the device. “What’s wrong with the controller?” I wonder. Okay, it is not charged — and I put it on charge. Fifteen minutes later I enter the battle again, though a test one, but nothing happens again.

Well then, it is time to read the manual. And here is another trouble. It is all written in hieroglyphs. Go figure! I browse the Internet but find only scarce information. Just a couple of videos and images that provide explanations in the plug-and-play style. But backing off isn’t my nature! I try to find the device through Bluetooth. Nothing. Plus, the product description says that it should not (but who knows?).

I change tactics and try to use settings in the game. I enter the setting menu and see the controller item. Oh, maybe that’s it… but no, here is Bluetooth again. So what to do then? I ask my friends for help.

What about the Game?

Although I grumbled about the settings, I still liked playing with the Falcon. This gadget really helps you with gaming. With this device, it is much more convenient to aim and shoot. I have tried different options for using sensors: aiming — reload, aiming — shooting, shooting — running.

In each of the options, it is easier to act. And of course, it is up to you to decide which combination to choose.

The device’s ergonomics is good. Now, it is easier to hold the phone in the hand. The buttons are pleasant to press. The keystroke indicator does not divert attention.

Connection and the First Start

Of course, when I told my comrades-in-arms that soon I would get such a miracle device in a short while, they began waiting for it with impatience, And then the longed-for moment came.

I put the charger and manual back in the box and connected the gaming controller to my phone. It is pretty simple to do. Everything was exactly as promised.

So I launch a game, enter the combat mode, call my friends, and the battle is loading… I appear with my friends and.. Nothing. Random button pressing, searching for sequences, removing and putting back the controller — all this did not give me the desired results.

What the hell, I think. The battle is underway, while I am standing still and nothing happens. Well, after all, the battle is more important. I put the controller aside and go on playing the game the old-fashioned way.
